Their learners range from experienced engineers seeking certification through to apprentices beginning their careers in the industry.

In this role, you will deliver both practical and classroom-based training covering F-Gas and ODS regulations. You will guide learners through legislation, environmental responsibilities, refrigerant handling, leak detection, pressure testing, pipework brazing and safe working practices. You will also assess learners working towards Category 1-4 certifications and support them throughout the qualification process.

The ideal candidate will come directly from industry and have a strong Refrigeration and Air Conditioning background. Previous teaching or assessing experience is not required, as full training and support can be provided. The key requirement is strong technical knowledge, industry credibility and a genuine desire to help others develop their careers.

The Role

  • Deliver practical and classroom-based F-Gas and ODS training
  • Teach refrigerant handling, leak detection, pressure testing and pipework brazing
  • Assess learners working towards Category 1-4 F-Gas certification
  • Support apprentices and experienced engineers through qualification programmes
  • Maintain workshop equipment and training facilities
  • Full teaching and assessor training provided
  • Monday to Friday position based in St Ives


The Person

  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry background
  • Level 2 Award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations (Category 1)
  • Holds a recognised RAC qualification
  • Experience within HVAC, refrigeration or air conditioning
  • Strong technical knowledge and communication skills
  • Looking to move into training and education
  • No previous teaching experience required
